Kambo, also called Sapo is the excretion of the Giant Monkey Tree frog, native to the amazonian basin of South America. Kambo is no psycho-active and is used as a cleanse both physically and mentally. Scentists have been able to isolate 12 different peptides in Kambo which all contribute to its overall detoxifying effect.
Rapé (pronounced ha-pay or ra-pay in English) is a blend of medicinal plants, primarily tobacco (nicotina rustica aka mapacho) which has been used by shamans and healers of the Amazon basis for thousands of years. The tobaccoo uses in Rape is about 20 times stronger that the tobacco typically used in cigarettes.
Shipibo tapestries are typically hand sewn, stitched or painted. The designs represented on each cloth correspond to Icaros, or medicine songs. The patterns are a visual representation of the songs and their vibrations. Shipibo textiles are used to place sacred ceremonial items on or as decorative art.
All our jewelry is handcrafted in Iquitos, Peru by local men and women. We purchase from local markets, where the community comes together to sell their crafts. Most necklaces feature some kind of gemstone as well as a crosscut of an adolescent ayahuasca vine.
